scripted by soulshine was started 5 years ago as an Instagram account for writing my thoughts while I was grieving two different losses in my life. I wanted a space to write, relate, & encourage others who may be feeling the same way. I started painting & drawing in the journaling Bible I got for my 16th birthday & sharing those at that time too. in May of 2020, I decided to invest in an iPad, an Apple pencil, & Procreate so I could open a shop that went hand-in-hand with the Instagram account in hopes of sharing the good news of the gospel.
although not a super detailed description of the history of scripted by soulshine, this brings us to today. my purpose of my shop stays the same: to share the good news of the gospel & to make sure that this is for God’s glory, not my own.
Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
this verse has served as a simple yet powerful reminder of Whose I am, what I am called to do, & how I need to do it. I am God’s. I am called to shine His light, & I am to do that so that He is glorified.
and friend, YOU are too. every Christian is.
& now we come full circle to this sweatshirt & the message behind it. I usually release more than one product at a time, but this one is super special to me, so I wanted it to have its own special launch. it’s a reminder for each of you of Who you belong to, what you are called to do, and how you are to do it.
it’s a reminder to do what makes your soul shine for Him. ✨
